Registration and Whakapapa Verification
It is important that where possible, Tumapuhia descendents
are involved in the planning, and any future decisions with
regards the hapu. Registration on the database will enable
you to be involved with important hapu processes and as a
registered member you will be eligible to participate in the
election of trustees to the Runanga, and also to be part of
the Waitangi Tribunal settlement process.
We would encourage all descendents of Tumapuhia to complete
the attached registration form. Click on the link to print

Te Runanga o Ngai Tamapuhia a Rangi
This body represents nga uri o Ngai Tumapahia a Rangi ki
Wairarapa. It has the mandate to carry out several purposes
for Whanau Whanui o Ngai Tumapahia a Rangi as detailed in
its Trust Deed. There are seven (7) Trustees elected every
three years.
It is also mandated to manage the Waitangi Claims Settlement
process. The Runanga is one of nine Hapu Karanga represented
on the Kahungunu ki Wairarapa Tamaki Nui a Rua Settlement
Trust (KKWTNR).
Meetings are held monthly. Hapu hui are also held every six
months.

Marae
Ngai Tumapahia a Rangi has three (3) marae. Uri o Ngai Tumapahia
a Rangi can register with any one of these Marae, and you
can register with more than one Marae. These Marae are:
